November Monthly - Laying up Knowledge
Relaxing, happy, with a wee bit of Christmas in the mix; this past months commitment was a wonderful challenge of fun. The lighter quality of it, allowed for the perfect set up for the more demanding challenge of November.
November always seems like such a cozy month to me: a time of fires, cocoa and apple cider, reading, Thanksgiving, and the beginnings of Christmas, often even a little snow. Throughout the Summer it seems as though all of my to-be-read books pile up. When fall finally hits it can take some work to carve out the necessary time to read the books that, although not necessarily boring, due to their educational nature take a bit more concentration to read, and therefore a bit more dedication to grab. But "now is the time," right?
November is upon us, so let's pick out a book for each week and start reading. If you are not a fan of reading, pick out four books that will hold your interest, and you might even learn to like it. If you're like me and you already love to read, make it four books that you keep meaning to read, but continue to put off. Or maybe if you're right in between, try some rotation: fun, educational, fun, educational. You might even want to branch out a little and try a different topic or genre each week. Figure out what will inspire you and get to it. My challenge is very simple: make sure you read at least one book each week. And remember, this is a challenge to you, no one's challenge will look the same. I am at a different level than my sisters, you may be at a different level than your friend, and they will be at a different level than me. All you need to do is take one more step from where you are. "Little by little, a little becomes a lot." Tanzanian Proverb
